Merrimack Management Associates (MMA) blends a heartfelt understanding of social and environmental possibilities with practical business approaches for successful large-scale engagement and performance.

We believe that business and the world’s society require new systems to solve problems and prosper.  Moving forward, systems that are inclusive, empowering and socially responsible will generate sustained prosperity and thriving local and global economies.

MMA reflects this perspective in all parts of our work: strategic consulting, operations planning, and program management services. We create licensable systems to support large-scale change and transitions to desired futures.

Today, MMA provides executive and administrative leadership services to Initiative Empowerment System-based (IES) change movements.  We work with the purpose-focused conveners of each initiative to design embodiments of IES that meet the interests of all participants. 

MMA business strategies leverage the creative potential of simultaneous micro and macro approaches (local/global, individual/group, task/goal).  When each perspective fuels and serves the other, this creates exponentially larger opportunities for financial exchange, development and distribution efficiencies and lasting value.

We are a boutique firm that works with only a few clients at a time.  Typically, our clients are breaking new ground in their business models.  Our commercial clients hold the goal of substantial profitability as a primary business objective.  Yet, they also recognize that collaboration in which all thrive supersedes win/lose competition that depletes resources and the human spirit.   Our philanthropic clients value new systems in which their catalyst funding helps build financially self-sustaining program operations over time. Our Initiative clients typically become self-sufficient relatively quickly while relying on MMA’s continuous administrative support.
